Offered for sale is an unusual vintage Playboy U.S.A. wooden shield wall plaque, believed to date from approximately the 1960s–1970s era based on its materials, construction, styling, and overall age.
The front features a darker shield-shaped section mounted to the wooden backing with individual lettering spelling “PLAYBOY U.S.A.” The overall shield design and aged construction give it the appearance of an older Playboy-era decorative or collectible display piece.
This is clearly an older item with genuine age and long-term storage wear. This is a pre-owned vintage item with visible age, storage wear, and handling wear.
The wood shows scratches, scuffs, small dents, finish wear, discoloration, spots, surface marks, edge wear, and other imperfections consistent with age and long-term storage. There are also darker marks and residue visible on the back, especially near the upper portion.
The piece has not been refinished, sanded, repainted, restored, or aggressively cleaned. I have intentionally left the surface and finish as found so the vintage character and original wear remain intact.
There is also an older handwritten name or marking on the back of the plaque. This writing appears to have been present for many years and cannot be removed without risking damage to the original wood or finish, so it is being left exactly as shown.
Because this is an older collectible, buyers should expect normal vintage imperfections beyond what may be immediately visible in every photo. Lighting may also make scratches, finish wear, and wood coloration appear slightly different depending on angle.
