This is a string-bound hardcover portfolio of photographs ofNew Orleans from 1897. The photographshave a beautiful sepia or cyan tone and lots of detail.
There are18 pages of photographs.Most of the photographs. The page measures10x9 inches (25.5 x23 cm). The full-page photos measure approximately8.25 x6.25 inches (21 x 16 cm). The covers are stained, but the interior pages are in good condition.
Produced by the Albertype Company as a set of mechanical photogravure prints. It is undated, but the height of the Albertype company were the mid to late 1890s. The photos are all pre-automobile.
