The covers remain particularly bright and striking and form a superb sequence of early-1950s graphic design.Illustrated throughout, including reproductions of paintings, photographs and other artwork, with some colour material.These are the British Hamish Hamilton editions, rather than the American Perspectives U.S.A. issues.Condition: Excellent overall condition for a consecutive run of original periodicals now over 70 years old. All ten retain their striking original illustrated wrappers, with particularly strong and attractive colours. The internal pages are generally exceptionally clean and well preserved.There is expected light age-related toning and some minor handling/storage wear, including occasional rubbing, small edge/spine-end chips, light creasing and marks to some wrappers. Number 7 shows somewhat more noticeable rubbing/wear around the edges. No restoration has been undertaken.The photographs include the complete run laid out together, the spines, page edges and rear wrappers and form an important part of the condition description.
