Shipping: I know shipping has gotten pricey. I can't help that. I try to make it as cheap as possible with box size but I have had a couple of recent items damaged. So I will use bigger boxes and double box when possible. It will add more to the shipping but that is the reality now. Thanks.
Incredible original pair of blue lustre trumpet glass vases, circa 1920's.
The Vineland Flint Glass Works (1897–1931) a prominent New Jerseyglass manufacturer co founded by Victor Durand, who was well known for producing high-quality iridescent art glass under the Durandname between 1925 and 1931. Located in Vineland, NJ, the company originally focused on commercial tubing but shifted to luxurious, Art Nouveau-inspired art glass before being absorbed by the Kimble Glass Company in 1932.Very much in the style of Louis C Tiffany and Frederick Carder/Steuben.
These are signed Durand and model #1990-10 as you can see. One vase is about 10" tall and the other a little shorter, but with the same model number, as these were hand blown, and no two are exactly alike. They are about 7 1/4" wide. They have outstanding iridescence - brilliant sheen and color depth. One is 2.7 lbs the other 2.6 lbs so nearly 5 lbs before packing.Excellent used antique condition. No chips or cracks, or repairs. Some mild surface wear and shelf wear to bottom.
