PRIMO BEER NATIVE HAWAIIAN CHIEF AND WARRIOR KA\"IANA SCULPTED draft beer tap handle. Honolulu brewing and malting Company. Honolulu, Hawaii. Formed in 1897. Primo beer was first introduced in 1901. After prohibition they opened as Hawaii Brewing company. They were acquired by Schlitz in 1963. A few years later Schlitz built a new brewery in Oahu for primo and other brands. That brewery was closed in 1979 and the brewing moved to L.A. Stroh\'s then got the Primo label when they bought Schlitz in 1982. They discontinued brewing Primo in 1997 and then Pabst acquired them all in 1999. Primo was revived in 2007 and made available in a few specific beach markets and Hawaii. Currently owned by Pabst. Primo Lager. 4.6%ABV. Using original recipe from 1897. Tap is new in original box. Excellent condition. Released this century. Please view all photos as they are the best part of the description. I believe this came out when Schlitz took over. The Hawaiian warrior Ka\'Iana sculpted bust and head ready for battle. Looks like hand-carved island wood. Base is done using blue and yellow with Primo graphics in white script outlined in red. Same on reverse. Very collectible. Stands 11inches tall.
