Three authenticated original period Les Maîtres de l’Affiche (“Masters of the Poster”) lithographs, professionally custom framed and exceptionally well preserved.Les Maîtres de l’Affiche was the celebrated Parisian series published by Imprimerie Chaix under Jules Chéret from 1895–1900. At the height of the Belle Époque, works by leading poster artists of the era were selected and reproduced as high-quality, reduced-format color lithographs specifically for collectors. The series ran for only five years and produced 256 plates, which are now collected as important examples of the golden age of European poster art.The three available pieces are Henri Privat-Livemont – “Cabourg à 5 heures de Paris,” Plate 88; V. Guillet / Vincent Lorant-Heilbronn – “Messaline,” Plate 187; and Misti (Ferdinand Mifliez) – “La Critique,” Plate 215.Each retains the original Les Maîtres de l’Affiche / Imprimerie Chaix publisher markings and embossed Chaix blind stamp.All three were professionally custom framed as part of the same collection with substantial oversized textured fabric matting, ornate frames and gallery-quality glass. The quality of the framing alone would be expensive to reproduce today.The lithographs are in exceptional condition for their age and display beautifully. These are original period collector lithographs, not modern reproductions.Frames are 17” × 21.5” and the visible openings are approximately 15.04” × 10.75”.Original paper margins are intact and have not been trimmed down.
