Up for sale here is this brand new bare board with all necessary parts to build a replacement for the PA3004 IC chip.This chip frequently goes bad in vintage Pioneers such as the SX-780, SX-880, SX-980, SX-1280, and the SA-7700. The chip has been discontinued for decades, and is impossible to find, but luckily some fine folks on Audiokarma designed a replacement for it.This is larger than the original chip--the board measures 30mm x 40mm. Still, it should fit just fine in most instances,though it will probably not fit in the SX-780and you will probably want to use the smallerSMD version.I have shown a picture of what this looks like once it's assembled, but this listing is just for the bare board and the parts to build your own.
Just FYI, the board is slightly confusing as to Q1 and Q7. Q1 is on the left, right below Q2, and Q7 is on the right, right above Q8.Installation is fairly easy--you will need a soldering iron, solder, and wire cutters. The board is marked with part numbers. The resistors you receive will not be marked, so you'll need to either read them or test them with a multimeter.
