With brilliant colors, no scratches or fading, this portrait of Napoleon is a wonderfully preserved work of art. What makes this especially eye-catching is that the glass upon which it\'s affixed is convex which gives it a more appealing dimension. It\'s not flat; it\'s alive.
I\'m not sure when it was made, but the framing, nails, and label (see close-ups) suggests that it may have been the late 1800s or early 1900s but I can\'t attest to that.
If you\'re a fan of history or have a room or study with a Franco-theme, this may be the perfect accent piece or focal point.
And they\'re certainly not making these anymore.
The frame measures 15 1/4\" x 12 3/4\", and the visible image is 9\" x 12\".
