A special clutch from the Jeremy Scott era of Moschino, one with a fun history and some controversy. Rare these days, they don’t show up often. Everything about this clutch is bold and high quality, despite being funny the materials are best in class with thick patent leather and great silver hardware.

A silver clutch molded and printed to read as a pharmaceutical blister pack — forty-four red-and-yellow two-tone capsules under foil, MOSCHINO debossed in the foil tab at the base where the drug name would sit. Silver hardware, zip top, black nylon lining with an interior card slot, detachable patent wrist strap with an oversized signed clip.
This is the collection Nordstrom pulled from its floors on 6 October 2016, after a petition from a Minneapolis addiction counselor. It was not a recall — Saks, Net-a-Porter, Selfridges and Moschino’s own stores kept selling the line — but Nordstrom’s withdrawal made the Capsule collection the most argued-over thing Jeremy Scott did in nine years at the house, and it’s the reason the pieces are scarce now.
Condition: Good to Very Good. Carried twice. Structure is crisp, corners are clean, zip and clip run smoothly, lining is spotless. The mirrored patent reverse shows faint hairline surface marks visible only in raking light — normal for mirror patent, not scratches through the finish. Warm amber tonality along the foil edges and at the MOSCHINO tab. Consistent with other examples of this piece and, in my judgment, intrinsic to the aged PVC rather than damage — photographed closely so you can assess it yourself.
