Morocco 100 Francs Banknote 1943 - Banque d\'État du Maroc - C129
This is a vintage 100 Francs banknote (\"Cent Francs\") issued by the Banque d\'État du Maroc (State Bank of Morocco), dated 1-5-1943, from the WWII-era French Protectorate. This wartime issue was printed by the E.A. Wright Bank Note Company (Philadelphia, USA) due to the Vichy occupation disrupting the usual Banque de France printing works. The front features Bab Mansour, the famous ornate gate of Meknès, framed by decorative columns. The reverse displays Arabic-language text with matching \"100\" denomination and twin pentagram (five-pointed star) motifs. Series C129, number 580.
