Monumental Antique English Silver Plate Square Raised Mirror Plateau – 13 inches.
We’re having a very splendid, end-of-summer jungle party! As usual, we choose what kind of raised mirror plateau to center our table – long, round, square etc. For our jungle theme tabletop, we chose an elegant antique silver plate, square shape that would raise our handsome lion about 5 inches off the table so that he becomes the honored guest! Unlike many plateaus that are round, this plateau is square measuring 13 by 13 inches, & 5 inches high. It sits on 4 sturdy legs & is decorated on all sides with a lovely, ribbed edge. It is an antique English piece dating back to the 1800’s, finished with the original hardware underneath. As we hope you can see in our photos, the mirror is clear & reflects other items in its surroundings as well as those objects set upon it. It is a wonderful, substantial & handsome plateau. This is a special statement piece. Use it on a dining table, on a sideboard, or as a silver sculpture on a center hall table.
