Lot of six matching antique hardcover books by English novelist Maurice Hewlett, published in New York by Charles Scribner’s Sons.

Matching dark green cloth bindings with gilt lettering on the covers and spines. The books have deckled page edges. Antique condition with rubbing, scratches, scuffs, bumped corners, worn spine ends and edge wear. One spine has a small puncture or tear in the cloth. Page edges are toned and uneven. Interior pages have age toning, foxing, spots and occasional creases or other signs of use. Bindings show age but remain usable.
An old Dodd, Mead & Company advertising postcard found inside one of the books will be included with the lot.
Publication and printing dates vary among the six books. These are matching individual titles rather than a numbered or complete collected-works set.
The books were not examined page by page, so occasional writing, markings or minor defects may be present. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description. Additional photographs are available upon request.
