PLEASE READ REGARDING CONDITION AND TESTING

I owned and used this receiver in our living-room system for TV, CD and other audio sources. It was eventually taken out of regular service because it developed an intermittent issue. This was some years ago and I no longer remember the exact symptom. My recollection is that it may have involved occasional audio dropout and/or behavior after the receiver had been operating for some time.

During current testing I have not been able to reproduce the problem.

Current testing included an analog audio source. The receiver successfully produced clean audio through its internal amplifier into passive speakers. I also successfully tested the front L/R preamp outputs into a powered PA system and tested the headphone output with studio headphones. Source selection, volume control, display and front-panel operation worked normally during this testing.

Because of its previous intermittent behavior, however, I am not representing this as a completely trouble-free or fully tested receiver. Not every input, output, surround channel, digital/video function or feature has been individually tested.

It is therefore being sold AS IS with a disclosed intermittent fault of unknown cause. Please purchase with that understanding. It may operate normally for the next owner, or it may eventually exhibit the intermittent problem that caused us to retire it.

This is an unusually large and heavy receiver. The unit itself weighs approximately 57.3 lb before packing and weighs 83 lb packed in a double-box. Buyer pays calculated shipping based on the final packed weight and dimensions.

Local pickup is also availablefor anyone within reasonable driving distance. Besides saving the shipping cost, local pickup eliminates the risks involved in shipping a nearly 60-pound piece of vintage audio equipment.
