Magnificent Victorian statement Bohemian garnet necklace. Most of the elaborate Bohemian garnet necklaces we see online are reproductions. This is truly a great antique necklace. The center cluster measures 2 1/4" at its widest X about 2 1/4" at its longest and the drop adds almost 1 3/4" more. The clusters decrease in size as they go around the necklace. The ones next to the center are almost 1 1/4" in diameter, next are 3 clusters that are almost 1" and the smallest is 3/4" in diameter. The clasp is hidden in the back cluster. The necklace measures about 13 1/2" on the inside measurement so without adding length which could be done by a good jeweler, it is for a small neck. In the photos you can see all the expert repairs done on the back that are keeping this necklace easily wearable. There is a safety chain. Too many gorgeous Bohemian garnets to count.
