Vintage model cruise ship of the "MS Southward" made as a travel agency display model for Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line in the 1970's.
This ship is made of hard plastic, hand-painted in various colors with the old Norwegian Cruise Line yellow sunburst logo, and sharp precise detail. It's enclosed in a clear see-through acrylic display case. The base reads "M/S SOUTHWARD" on both sides. The underside is covered in green felt.
The entire piece measures 9.5" long by 2" wide by 2.25" tall, and weighs 1/2 lb.
The "MS Southward" sailed for Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line from 1971 until 1994. This model was supposedly made by Precise Models of Ohio in the 1970's.
