A rare find, a Ronald Hayes Pearson 925 pin. An abstract branch pin in a Modernist design. This is signed Pearson. Ronald Hayes Pearson was an award-winning modernist jeweler. One of the most influential figures in American metal smithing. Born in 1924, opened his first metalworking shop in Alfred, NY after graduating from the School of American Craftsmen at Alfred University in 1948. He also participated in the special design program of the well-known silverware co Reed and Barton Co. In 1953 he along with John Preep Tage Frid and Frans Wildenhain, opened a gallery in Rochester, NY. However, in 1971 the designer moved to Deer Isle, Maine where he lived and working until his death in 1996. Thanks for looking!
