This mid-20th-century estate-fresh set includes 6-piece place settings for 7 in the originalgenuine Fiesta Yellow glaze by the Homer Laughlin China Company, USA. This genuine Homer Laughlin Fiesta was made from a highly fired vitreous china body, which is a dense ceramic formulated for durability and everyday use. It has a glass-like vitrified structure that makes it stronger and less porous than ordinary earthenware. Finding original Fiesta is not difficult; finding seven complete matching place settings that have remained together and survived for over 70 years in this condition is much less common.
Condition:
- The set displays beautifully with outstanding gloss and color consistency throughout - no fading - the original Fiesta Yellow color.
- Collector-quality condition.
- Some of the plates (not all) show very minimal utensil marks that you need a bright light to see them.
- The bottom rims of only 3 dinner plates show light surface wear to the paint (shown in photos).
- All pieces are without chips, cracks, or crazing.
- Please note: There are kiln marks on the backs of the plates (not chips). These small indentations or tiny rough spots are created during firing. Plates are stacked or supported on little ceramic or metal “stilts” inside the kiln so the glaze doesn’t fuse to the shelf. When the glaze melts and hardens, it leaves small pinpoint indentations. If you look at the backs of the plates in the photos, you will see these marks in the same location on each plate. Some are more visible than others.
Please review all photos, as they are integral to the description. The actual color may appear slightly different in the pictures due to variations in lighting conditions and screen settings.
Shipping note: Shipping is on me. Because of the number of heavy pieces, this set will be split and shipped in two boxes. The boxes will be padded, heavy-duty or double-walled. The pieces will be securely wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in the boxes with an abundance of packing materials.
