A genuine Lucas SS700P 7-inch motorcycle headlamp shell, stamped "LUCAS SS700P MADE IN ENGLAND." This headlamp was used on 1960s and 1970s Triumph, BSA and Norton twins. The shell still has its original Lucas ±12 amp ammeter, with switch and wiring holes from the mid-to-late 1960s layout, when the ammeter and switches mounted in the headlamp.

•Chrome rim
•Westinghouse Canada 7" sealed-beam light unit (a period replacement, not an original Lucas light unit)
Condition
Used, untested. The shell chrome has pitting and surface rust, heavier on the rim. The ammeter face is clean and legible, and the sealed-beam glass appears intact. The ammeter and sealed beam have not been tested. The rear grommet is present but weathered. Please review all photos, including close-ups of the stamping, the ammeter and the rust, and judge condition for yourself.

Triumph, BSA and Norton restorers who want a genuine Lucas shell with the original ammeter instead of a reproduction, and café racer or bobber builders who want period-correct British parts.
Why We List Parts Like This
Original Lucas assemblies with the ammeter still installed are getting harder to find, and a genuine shell is a better base for rechroming than a reproduction.
