Louis Blanc (1811–1882) was the French socialist journalist and historian whose Organisation du travail popularized the call for the “right to work.” When the February Revolution of 1848 toppled King Louis-Philippe, Blanc became a member of the Provisional Government of the Second Republic and presided over the Luxembourg Commission on workers\' conditions. After the upheavals of that year he went into exile in England.

Pages d\'Histoire de la Révolution de Février 1848 is his own account of those events: a first-hand history and defense of his role, published in Paris in 1850 by the Bureau du Nouveau Monde, the journal Blanc edited from exile. It is a primary source on the 1848 revolutions, the Second Republic and early European socialism.

This is the first edition (1850), printed by the Société Typographique de Paris, Imprimerie Schneider, rue d\'Erfurth.
