Vintage Lorenz Ref. 12719 Swiss Manual-Wind Chronograph

A handsome vintage Lorenz inherited from my grandfather and believed to date to the early 1980s. It has a champagne/gold-tone dial with three registers, a date window at 3 o\'clock, tachymeter scale, gold-plated case, and stainless-steel caseback. Approximately 38 mm case with a 20 mm black leather strap and signed Lorenz buckle.

Function

• The watch winds and runs.
• Time and date functions work.
• The upper chronograph minute counter at 12 o\'clock does not function correctly.
• No accuracy or timing test has been performed.
• Service history is unknown. Water resistance has not been tested.
• Sold as-is; a mechanical service is with honest vintage wear. There are visible scratches, scuffs, and gold-tone plating wear on the case, lugs, caseback, and buckle. The crystal has surface scratches and the strap shows wear. The dial presents well for its age. Please inspect all photos carefully; they are part of the description.

  Published examples associate reference 12719 with a Valjoux 7765 manual-wind movement. The case has not been opened by the seller, so the exact caliber is not guaranteed.
