ACEO- Abbreviation for“Art Cards Editions & Originals”. The term “art card” appears to be much more self explanatory and covers the same ground with less syllables. That means less time thinking about abbreviations and more time enjoying your new art collection.
However, we must widdle away at time in a heart felt attempt in understanding complicated vocabularic terminology and definitions. Why should anything be simple? Here’s the Wild Space Monkey’s attempt to understand over confusion caused by authoritative wacky word magic:
Trading Card-Baseball, football, art, music, game, etc, cards. These can be collected, sold, and traded.
Artist Trading Card- Trading cards for artists.
ACEO- Like trading cards they can be collected, sold, and gasp… traded!

Use whichever terminology suits your unique style of communication. Don’t be surprised if you get confused looks and have to break down into a loooonnnnggg explanation of what an ACEO is. If this does happen, remember the following magic formula: 2.5” x 3.5”. The quotation marks are an abbreviation for inches and represent 3rd dimension size perimeters of an ACEO.
When presenting your explanation on ACEOs vs Art Trading Cards (ATCs), newbie collectors may ask why you’re using your fingers to make quotation marks as you attempt to regurgitate the ACEO size formula and abbreviation definition. Tell them to hold their questions until your lengthy ACEO/ATC presentation is finished.
They may also ask what a sketch card is and what any of this has to do with Wild Space Monkeys. Again, remind them to hold their questions until you are done. If they appear restless, let them know it’ll all make sense as you tie the facts together at the end.

In the hidden cavern of this portal reigns dark silence. From a distance and growing closer, thunder from a heavy blues guitar tears the silence like razor teeth across soft flesh. A storm of sparks, smoke & flame bleed the cavern of it’s still blackness.
All of this folds in on it self and then disappears, the music fading back to whence it came as the darkness reclaims it’s home. And there, floating in renewed silence & encased within an aurora of light, is a new Wild Space Monkey art card!
