Created during her period working in Rio de Janeiro, this cohesive multi-panel installation features bold geometric red forms paired with an expressive brushstroke composition across four panels. Designed to be displayed together as a complete wall statement.
Each panel measures approximately 16x20 inches. When displayed together, the full installation spans approximately 34x42 inches depending on spacing.
Solid masonite construction with original wood frames. Panels are sturdy, well-balanced, and display cleanly with no structural issues.
Vintage condition with visible age including surface wear and areas of water staining consistent with age. See photos for details.

Elise Friederike was a European-born artist who spent part of her early adult life in Rio de Janeiro during the 1970s. Many of her known works date from this period, blending European technique with the vivid color sensibilities of Brazilian art. Her paintings range from figurative portraits to surreal compositions, abstract studies, and expressive color work. Later in life she relocated to South Florida, where her artwork, materials, and a preserved portfolio of additional works were recently rediscovered and rescued as a complete group. Her paintings appear only infrequently today, and each piece offers a window into her creative life across several continents.
