Here are 2 Lamassu winged Assyrian bull cast metal wall sculptures. These protective Mesopotamian deities were seen in the palaces of Sargon II, 722-705 BC. A pair of lamassu would be placed at the entrances and courtyards. The age and origin of these pieces are unknown, hanging hardware may place it circa 1960. Silver surface is not painted, could be cast aluminum or silver plated copper. Both are 10\" wide and 8 \" tall, oriented in opposite directions.
