This is a rare collection of Lake Placid Olympic pins. The Roni the Raccoon mascot pins were available in the souvenir stores. Others were attained by pin trading at the event or from employees of various sponsors. These were collected the weekend of the \"Miracle on Ice\" hockey game, when USA triumphed over Russia. The pins are officially licensed, and would be a special addition to any Olympics pin collection.
