Krampus Yard Stake Metal Gothic Christmas Outdoor Lawn Decor Alpine Folklore Art For Sale

Everyone on the street has a snowman and a reindeer on the lawn. Nobody has the other half of the story. Krampus is the horned companion of Saint Nicholas in Alpine winter folklore, the one who comes for the children on the naughty list, and he has been part of December in Austria and Bavaria for centuries. Planted by the path in the dark he reads instantly, and he is the piece the neighbours stop and photograph. Two designs share this listing. The full figure is a printed metal cut out of Krampus himself, horns curled, birch broom in hand, one child under his arm and one in the basket on his back, measuring 15.75 in (40 cm) wide and 9.96 in (25.3 cm) tall on a welded ground stake of 11.81 in (30 cm) by 4.72 in (12 cm), so the whole piece stands about 25 in (63.5 cm) out of the grass. The scene design is a black silhouette panel of Krampus reaching for a child beside a Christmas tree, 15.7 in (39.9 cm) wide and 10 in (25.4 cm) tall on a 4 in (10.2 cm) spike. Both are cut from thick sheet metal with a UV printed coating that holds its colour through rain, snow and frost, and both push straight into soft ground with no tools. Put a spot light at the base and the silhouette throws a shadow twice the size up the wall of the house.
