These engines have been stored and forgotten in our warehouse. Purchased new from Kohler distributor. Attached is a photo of the box label with serial number. The Engine photo is a stock photo. I do not know how long these engines have been in our storage or the age of the engine.
Engines never used or the box opened.The shaft on these engines is a horizontal tapered shaft, not a straight shaft. Taper shafts are used to mount generators or direct mount compressors, or blowers, for precision alignment.
You may find a pulley that accommodates the taper shaft.
At this low $350 cost it may be practical / economical to replace the tapered shaft with a straight shaft?

- Small End Diameter (Tip): Tapers down to approximately 0.875 inches (7/8\").
Internal Threading & Keyway
- End Tapping: 7/16-20 UNF internal thread, typically drilled to a depth of 1.5 inches to securely bolt the generator rotor to the shaft.
- Keyway: Equipped with a standard 1/4-inch square woodruff or straight keyway along the tapered surface to prevent rotational slippage.

- Fuel Type: Clean, fresh unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 87 or higher. Up to 10% ethyl alcohol (E10) is acceptable, but E15, E20, and E85 are strictly prohibited.
- Oil Change Schedule: Regular oil changes should occur every 100 hours (or annually), and the oil filter should be replaced every 200 hours under standard operating guidelines.
