A massive and highly unusual art sofubi piece by Kiyokawa China, produced by Gospel Gold.
Titled “Bikini Atoll Nuclear Explosion Monument,” this work takes inspiration from Godzilla and the imagery surrounding the atomic age, reinterpreting the familiar kaiju form as an abstract, monument-like sculpture.
Rather than presenting a conventional Godzilla figure, the piece exaggerates and deconstructs the silhouette into something deliberately primitive, architectural and almost archaeological in appearance. The muted military/olive color further emphasizes the feeling of a weathered monument or relic.
