Factory polymer housings have more reliable tolerances than Ruger®’s metal units, and this kit is engineered specifically around that consistency.
KIDD builds the hammer and sear groups as two pre-fit sub-assemblies, ensuring proper engagement geometry without stone-by-hand tuning. By controlling how the hammer bushings, hammer pin, sear, disconnect, and trigger blade interact, the kit eliminates the gritty, weighty factory break and replaces it with a crisp, predictable pull.

Installation & break-in tips

• Do not mix KIDD internals with OEM or other aftermarket components—precision engagement requires complete compatibility
• Works best when installed into polymer Ruger® trigger guards only
• Installation typically takes 20 minutes using the supplied slave pins
• Verify safety function before field use:
• Cock hammer, test fire, reset by pushing hammer back
• Engage safety and confirm trigger will not fire
• If safety does not block the trigger correctly, contact KIDD for assistance
