Made by the Calusa Indians over 600 years ago, the original Key Marco Cat is a 6 inch wooden statue that depicts a half human and half cat. It was found 100 years ago during the very first archaeological expedition on Marco Island. This 2.5 milion dollar artifact is kept at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. but has rarely been displayed.
