This is a brand new KATO N Scale model train set, item number 10-713-9, representing the famous East German express diesel railcar VT18.16 “SVT Gorlitz.”
The VT18.16 was an express diesel multiple unit developed by the East German National Railway in the 1960s. It later became known as BR175 and was used for international train services. This KATO model beautifully recreates the restored SVT Gorlitz preservation train.
