Junko Ohashi is one of the voices the global city pop revival was built on — a singer with the range of a soul vocalist working over Tokyo studio-band arrangements. MAGICAL is the third instalment of her World of Junko Ohashi compilation series, issued in July 1984 as a double LP and never pressed to CD in the decades since.
This is the 2022 first-ever CD edition on Universal Music Japan (UPCY-90068), a limited pressing, newly remastered. It gathers twelve tracks including the duet with Yoshinori Monta on Isn't It Magic, the commercial-tie-in song A Love Affair and its coupling I Love You So — material that had been hard to find on any other release. Brand new and still factory sealed, with the Japanese OBI strip.
