The P3 series was designed as a quality line of knives for commercial work environments such as meat processing facilties and restaurants. Blades are constructed of high-carbon stainless steel hardened to offer a long edge life, but not be too hard as to make sharpening difficult. Handles are constructed using commercial grade polymers that are injection molded onto the blade and tang, creating a strong handle with seamless transition between the blade and handle.
