Vintage Intel C1702A 2048-bit (256 x 8) UV-erasable EPROM in white ceramic and gold example carries Intel\'s \"CS\" marking, documented by vintage semiconductor references as a Customer Sample designation used on chips supplied to prospective customers.The original transparent quartz UV-erase window is intact. The silicon die and fine internal bond wires are clearly visible through the window.The Intel 1702A is an important early EPROM from the pioneering era of Intel semiconductor development.
