Description
A charming original autumn landscape by Indrikis Andreevic Zeberins (1882–1969), signed and dated 1942.
The painting depicts a winding river bordered by mature woodland in warm autumnal tones. Small figures can be seen beneath the trees along the riverbank, adding life and scale to the peaceful composition. Rich ochres, earthy browns, muted blues and touches of green are applied with energetic, textured brushwork, giving the scene a wonderfully expressive quality.
Painted in oil on canvas-board, signed “I. Zeberins” and dated “1942” to the lower right. Presented within an attractive two-tone wooden and gilt frame, ready to display.
A highly decorative and collectable original work, ideal for a traditional interior, study, country home or collection of European landscape painting.

Condition
The painting presents well overall, with age-related surface texture, minor marks and signs of wear consistent with its age. The impasto and expressive brushwork remain clearly visible.
The wooden and gilt frame displays some rubbing, scratches and small areas of finish loss. The paper covering on the reverse is torn, cracked and distressed, and an older hanging wire is attached.
