This vibrant, masterpiece-scale work features a dense, mesmerizing composition of African birds—including peacocks, guineafowl, and hornbills—seamlessly woven into intricate, overlapping foliage against a bold red background.
Steven Lewis (b. 1965) is highly regarded within the Tingatinga Arts Cooperative Society for his complex, high-density wildlife arrangements. While most traditional Tingatinga pieces are smaller squares painted on ceiling boards, this example is rare for its massive exhibition scale, measuring an impressive 44" x 31" with the frame.
