Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), \'Sudden Shower at Shono\' (Shono hakuu) — station 46 from the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido.
Please read carefully: this is a postwar Showa-era (circa 1950s-1960s) woodblock (ukiyo-e) REPRINT, not an 1830s original. The original design dates to 1833-34 (Hoeido edition). This impression was printed after WWII by Kyoto Hanga-in (Kyoto Print Institute), \'Shinagawa edition,\' as identified by the publisher\'s stamps in the right margin (see close-up photo).
Estimated printing date: circa 1950s–1960s (Showa era) — roughly 65–75 years old.
