A dramatic composition showing people crossing a large bridge during a sudden rainstorm.Long diagonal lines represent the heavy rain, while several figures cross the bridge carrying umbrellas and wearing traditional rain protection.A boatman can also be seen on the water below, with the opposite riverbank visible in the distance.The sharply angled bridge, figures moving through the rain, and extensive use of vertical and diagonal lines create a strong sense of movement and atmosphere.Japanese title cartouches are visible within the image, and publisher-related markings are also visible in the margin.■ Condition
