Have a fairly decent collection of vintage bows. This is a dandy. Was spray painted with dull black paint at some point to hide it I guess. It can be removed if you wish. I always felt the deer would smell or hear or see you move more than the color but I guess every bit helps. This bow is stable, fast and accurate. will take any game in your neck of the woods with a well placed shot. That said it is a 1967 so bows can break. Always liked Herters bows. think you will too.
