Description
Vintage Hallicrafters SX-100 tube communications receiver.
Tested and working during our basic functional testing. The receiver picked up multiple AM broadcast stations clearly and also picked up numerous signals across the other shortwave bands using only a short test antenna.
Testing performed:
Powers on normally
Receives multiple AM broadcast stations
Numerous signals received across the other bands
Tuning and controls respond
Meter responds during reception
Tested with an external speaker
Video included showing actual AM reception
We did not perform an electronic restoration, alignment, extended-duration test, or comprehensive test of every function/frequency. Voice reception was confirmed on the AM broadcast band; signals were received on the other bands, but intelligible voice was not specifically confirmed there during our short-antenna test.
Cosmetically, this is a nice-looking vintage receiver with normal age-related wear. Please examine all photos closely for exact cosmetic condition.
Because this is vintage tube electronics, it is being sold as a tested vintage receiver as described above, not as restored or recently serviced.
External speaker and test antenna are not included unless specifically shown/listed as included.
