Gene Marshall Travel in Tweed is a special Limited Edition dressed doll produced by The Ashton-Drake Galleries exclusively for the 2004 Share the Dream Tour. Designed by Lynne Day exclusively for the Gene Collection, this elegant release presents Gene in a sophisticated vintage-inspired traveling ensemble.
Gene wears a beautifully tailored dark tweed suit with a coordinating pale pink accent at the neckline, decorative brooch and coordinating accessories. Her softly styled blonde hair and classic Gene makeup complete the glamorous Golden Age Hollywood presentation.
This doll is NRFB and remains secured in her original factory presentation. Gene, her clothing and accessories have never been removed from the original packaging. Accessories remain packaged and secured as shown in the photographs.
Included is the original Certificate of Authenticity identifying Travel in Tweed as a Limited Edition specially produced for the 2004 Share the Dream Tour. The COA also identifies Lynne Day as the designer of the costume exclusively for the Gene Collection.
Of particular interest, the COA has been personally signed by Gene Marshall creator and artist Mel Odom with a large handwritten signature across the front.
Also included is an original Stella\'s Dollhouse event card dated October 2, 2004, documenting a Mel Odom Doll Signing. This wonderful piece of original collector ephemera has remained with the doll and is included with the sale.
The original Ashton-Drake Galleries presentation packaging, tissue, paperwork and accessories shown in the photographs are included.
The original Ashton-Drake shipper is also included. PLEASE NOTE that the outer shipper has previously been used as an actual shipping/mailing box and shows age, storage and shipping wear. It also shows evidence of previously removed mailing labels, along with other normal handling and surface wear associated with its age and prior use. Please review the photographs carefully for the exact condition of the shipper.
The condition of the outer shipper should not be confused with the condition of the doll. The doll itself is NRFB and remains in her original factory presentation. The wear described above pertains to the outer shipping carton.
