Early Columbia nonbreakable 78 RPM holiday issue with Gene Autry performances accompanied by The Pinafores and Orchestral Accompaniment. A terrific piece of mid-century Christmas, cowboy and recorded-music history.

And Santa apparently entered through a brick chimney carrying a Columbia record.

This wonderfully cheerful little package gives us:

with The Pinafores and Orchestral Accompaniment.

And this isn't just another random Christmas record.

Gene Autry co-wrote “Here Comes Santa Claus” after riding in a Christmas parade and hearing children excitedly announce Santa's arrival.

The song became one of Autry's signature Christmas recordings and helped establish the Singing Cowboy as a rather unlikely holiday-record powerhouse.

Later came “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Frosty the Snowman” and enough Christmas material to ensure that Gene could apparently ride a horse directly from a Western movie set into Santa's workshop without anybody questioning it.

The illustrated album/folder shows considerable age-related wear including edge and corner wear, rubbing, creasing, surface wear, discoloration and areas of paper loss/separation, all shown in the photographs.

This is a vintage survivor and not a pristine archival copy.
