Galaxina(1980) Rare And Out of Print Film Remastered Galaxina (1980) is a quirky science-fiction comedy set in the year 3008 aboard the Intergalactic Space Police cruiser Infinity. The crew is sent on a long-distance mission to recover the valuable Blue Star mineral, leaving them to spend years in suspended animation while Galaxina, an android servant, remains in charge of the ship.
Played by Dorothy Stratten, Galaxina begins as a quiet and emotionless android but gradually develops speech, feelings, and a personality of her own. When the crew finally reaches their destination, the mission turns into a bizarre space-western adventure involving aliens, outlaws, rival forces, strange creatures, and plenty of humorous references to classic science-fiction films.
Dorothy Stratten played the lead role of Galaxina. She was the 1980 Playboy Playmate of the Year, and this was her final film released while she was alive. Tragically, Stratten was murdered by her husband Paul Snider about two months after the movie’s release, and the film was later pulled from theaters.
