Beautiful vintage Fenton Plum Opalescent Hobnail pedestal compote, produced during Fenton’s short-lived Plum Opalescent period around 1959–1961. This striking piece features rich translucent plum-colored glass, classic raised hobnails, a clear pedestal foot, and a dramatic hand-formed ruffled rim finished with beautiful white opalescence.
The color is especially attractive where the deep plum glass transitions into the soft milky-white opalescent edging. Because Fenton’s ruffled glass was hand formed, the folds and crimps give each piece its own individual character.

* 6.5” across the widest part of the ruffled rim
