New Mexico fluorites are perhaps most well-known for their cornflower blue color, even from various mines and localities. Most New Mexico fluories, however, are not known for their luster or dimensionality. Take a look at all of the Bingham/Socorro fluorites and you'll see a rather dull blue with flat surfaces. This is completely different.
First, there almost every hue of blue is represented, from teal to purple tinged edges on the "bottom right" side. But second and perhaps the most incredible feature of this piece is the etching or "stepping" across the entire display surface. There must be thousands of steps and edges across the surface.
