Exquisite Meissen “style” Victorian Era Courting Couple Porcelain Figure 6”
The detail of the figurine is stunning and exquisite. With the hand painted detail, it is unique as the only one like it. Overall condition is flawless with no noticed cracks, chips, or flaws. With the assumed age of 100+ years, there is some faded paint - especially with the gold gilt trim on the edging. There is one spot on the lady’s pink dress where there is some color missing but it is not a chip- likely a place where the paint didn’t “hold” in the process of making.
The bottom is stamped/painted with the Makers mark- 2 crossing swords. Through research, it “could be” a Meissen piece but without additional markings, we are unable to confirm. Item is priced to reflect not pure Meissen.
