A stunning rare pair of genuine Edwardian double banker’s lamps , fantastic quality heavy brass in a untouched fresh to the market condition .
One retains its original spun cased green glass shades ( one has a small nibble to the top rim see photos ) these shades seem to be available for around £50 for original ones and £20 for good quality reproduction ones . The two original bulb holders are no longer fit for use and will need replacement .
Judging from the size and the quality of these lamps they have been used in a public space bank / reading room / library etc .
They would have been fixed to the counter / table both original fixing brackets are present and in good order.
With the size of the fittings re wiring will be straightforward .
The brass has been given a light wipe to remove any dust but would polish up well if needed .
