Lovely early Staffordshire figure of ‘Summer’ with underglaze colors, modeled as a classical maiden with full cornucopia in her left arm, a large bunch of blue grapes in her right, wearing a sparsely decorated robe with blue floral accents on dress, standing on a high grassy mound set on a low marbled plinth, titled to the front ‘SUMMER’. Unmarked, attributed to Dixon & Austin, Sunderland, Circa 1825. Condition is very good. Measures Approximately: 22.5cm tall
