Early Imari ware, produced in the kilns of the Arita region of Saga Prefecture, represents the dawn of Japanese porcelain production and is celebrated for its bold, energetic brushwork and distinctive blue and white decoration. The flowing arabesque pattern, rendered with confident and expressive strokes, is a classic motif of the period. The bottle holds approximately 243ml (one go and three shaku).
