Early Folk Art Schooner Diorama of three mast schooner, no signature or markings found. Original glass broken and removed. Piece of gesso lost when glass broke. Sails are carved wood, masts and boat all wood. Rigging was removed before I purchased, you can see knots still.in Upstate NY. Frame is beautifully carved, but has been touched with paint. Larger than most outside frame measurements: 27” wide by 22” tall. Very heavy, wood on back is almost an inch thick.
We have placed a modern piece of molding around the bottom back, as to strengthen it as the previous owner must’ve dropped it or it was damaged beyond repair. You’ll notice the original top piece is still there.
