Up for sale is this 1859 Canada One Cent Error Coin. It is in circulated condition and is underweight and slightly off center. This is a really cool error coin. The mint was very particular about the weight 100 were to make an avdp. pound. The weight is supposed to be 4.54 not 4.37. The minting tolerances were less strict at the time and so underweight and overweight examples are in existence. The amount of detail present shows that excessive wear is not the cause of the coins low weight, it was made that way.
